Introduction:
There is an increasing interest and awareness of the impact of the Menopause on women’s lives. Symptoms can be very distressing and have a detrimental effect on quality of life. Women may live one third of their lives in the Menopause and a focus on enabling them to live life to the full is timely.
This workshop will provide a comprehensive refresher for gynecologists caring for women presenting with menopausal symptoms. It will comprise short lectures and cases and also introduce the participants to our e learning package IMPART which comprises basic and advanced modules aimed at giving a comprehensive overview of the field.
By the end of the workshop attendees will have been updated on the most recent understanding of menopause physiology, assessment of women and treatment options.

Speaker Profiles:
Prof. Mary Ann Lumsden is the President of the International Menopause Society (2016-18) and a Vice-President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK). Prof. Lumsden is Professor of Medical Education & Gynaecology and Head of Reproductive & Maternal Medicine, University of Glasgow, UK. She has both research and clinical interest in menopause and menstrual disorder.
Prof. Susan Davis has been elected to serve as the President of the International Menopause Society from 2018-2020. Prof. Davis is the director of the Women’s Health Research Program at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
Prof. Steven Goldstein has been elected to serve as the President of the International Menopause Society from 2020-2022. Prof. Goldstein is a tenured Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the New York University School of Medicine in New York. He is a past President of the North American Menopause Society and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He is an expert in gynaecological and menopausal ultrasound.
Prof. Duru Shah is an ex offico Board member of the International Menopause Society, and Director of Digital Education for IMS. Prof. Shah has been the Prof. of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Mumbai University, India. Being an expert in the field of infertility and midlife women’s health, she has been appointed as the President of the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction and is also the Past President of the Indian Menopause Society and the Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Societies of India. She is the only Indian recipient of the “FIGO Distinguished Merit Award, for services offered towards women’s health.
