• describe the principles of safe vacuum- assisted vaginal deliveries.
• demonstrate proficiency in the performance of the essential steps of vacuum deliveries for occipito anterior, transverse/lateral and posterior fetal positions on a pelvic model.
• understand the potential complications of vacuum-assisted delivery and the importance of review of the newborn, including the cup application site.
• name the key parameters to optimize safe patient care through appropriate communication and mutual respect.
